Earlier this month, BuddyTV reported that Jeana Keough, a Coto de Caza resident who has appeared in every episode of the popular Bravo reality TV series, would not be returning for the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County
as hinted by fellow O.C.
housewife Tamra Barney. Keough herself confirmed the news that she's not yet signed on for another season since she and Bravo could not come to terms on a new contract. Now, word on the street is that Keough is attempting to renegotiate her contract due to her housing woes.
"We may not be in the Orange County tornado," Keough said, referring to herself and her family, who have also appeared on the show. "We haven't signed. We're negotiating still. They wanted us for a longer term. I don't know that it's dead yet. We're going to try to give them some time to figure out what they're doing."
Keough, who works in real estate, currently owns four homes that are all in dire straits.
"I think all four of my houses have notices of defaults on them, as I'm trying to get loan modifications on them," Keough said of her properties in Coto de Caza, CA.
According to the New York Post
, the primary home in question is worth an estimated $1.382 million.
"It's a tough market, everybody's struggling," said Keough, who is described as "a successful realtor of high-end homes (usually in the millions)" in her bio on Bravo's site. "My kids don't really need this news right now."
Keough has three kids, major league baseball player Shane, 22, Kara, 19, and Colton, 16, with husband Matt Keough, whom she is now separated from.
Meanwhile, fans can catch the latest franchise, The Real Housewives of New Jersey
, as it wraps up its first season next Tuesday at 10pm on Bravo.
