If it came to a real fight, there would be no contest. "New York would win," Bethenny Frankel told Life & Style. But it seems that the hypothetical questioned posed is now turning into reality, with all the drama getting out of hand and the catfights getting rowdier.
According to Life & Style, "Filming is on hold for the 11 women who make up the casts of The Real Housewives of New York City and The Real Housewives of New Jersey -- but the drama is wilder than ever anyway. Behind the scenes, the New Yorkers haven't missed a chance to take a potshot at their New Jersey rivals."
The Real Housewives of New Jersey
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
drew a record 4.6 million viewers during the table-flipping season finale and 3 million total viewers and over 2 million adults 18-49) on the reunion episode, becoming the most watched Housewives reunion special ever. Compared to The Real Housewives of New York City
's second season reunion, New Jersey
was up 27 percent among adults 18-49 (versus 1.6 million) and 26 percent among total viewers (versus 2.29 million).
Although The Real Housewives of New Jersey
delivered gossip-worthy numbers, that's not to say that the New York City
housewives are jealous.
"I think it was just a lot of theatrics," Countess LuAnn de Lesseps said when Life & Style
asked for her opinion of New Jersey
's first season. "They created quite a spectacle."
The Countess also adds that the two shows can hardly be compared.
"We're completely different," she said. "We live in two completely different worlds."
Furthermore, Bethenny has a tip for Teresa Giudice, who infamously tried to flip over a dinner table during the season finale.
"If you don't want to be compared to the Sopranos," Bethenny advised, "keep the table legs on the floor."
These two worlds are set to collide live this fall when New Yorkers Jill Zarin and Alex McCord take on New Jersey's Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey.
