We're used to the cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey
being quite the drama queens when it comes to their show
, but now it seems that the ladies have crossed over into starting drama on daytime television when they brought their feud to an episode of The View
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
It all started on Friday when rumors were coming from backstage of The View
involving (who else) Teresa Giudice, her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and Teresa's cousin Kathy Wakile. The Huffington Post
received information from an insider claiming Teresa refused to appear on set with her two aforementioned co-stars when she found out they were all scheduled for an interview that day.
"Originally, The View
booked three ladies and made it clear they wanted Teresa and Melissa and didn't care who was the third," the insider said. "The plan was to do two segments: the first an honest conversation about their lives and the second as a more lighthearted one. However, Teresa refused to appear with Melissa and after many conversations, it was decided Teresa would sit down with all the hosts and then Melissa and Kathy would be interviewed [separately]."
Teresa, however, wasn't the only one making a scene. According to another insider talking to the New York Daily News
, Melissa "flipped" and was overheard on her cell phone saying "our plan is ruined... so we have to come up with another way to take her down."
All three of them appeared on the show as planned, but possibly got a little flack from Barbara Walters and the ladies for stirring the pot on their set. Watch here:
While both Teresa and Melissa had plenty to say about their on and off-screen drama, neither of them was done talking about the incident after their segments.
"Since September I haven't heard from Melissa or Kathy personally," Teresa wrote in her blog on TeresaGiudice.com
. "So when I got a call this week that suddenly Melissa and Kathy wanted a big reunion on The View
, I'm sorry, I passed. Not because I thought anyone was going to attack me. Because we have a lot to resolve, and I didn't think it could be done sitting on a couch in front of an audience for a few minutes. That's not honest or real, and both things are important to me."
Melissa, of course, takes the exact opposite view point.
"Let me clear something up. You all know me by now and know that I am real," Melissa wrote on her blog on MelissaGorga.com
, immediately contradicting Tre. "Bravo called me and said The View
wanted Teresa and I to come on. I said I wasn't sure if it was a good idea and I asked what Teresa thought. They told me she said yes already. So I said OK, I have nothing to hide it's fine. The day before I got a call saying Teresa refuses to go out with us and she is demanding her own segment. I found her excuse really lame for not wanting to go on with us because she had just written us an apology in a national weekly magazine, but you thought this had to be private? You don't want to talk in public? Is she kidding me? She is the QUEEN of telling the story in public. Please don't believe any of the victim crap she pulls saying we were going to attack her. This is why I called her a coward!"
So either way you look at it, our Jersey girls just seem to be a big mess. Which are you: Team Teresa or Team Melissa? Gina PusateriContributing Writer(Image courtesy of ABC)
