The Office has run out of new episodes thanks to the devastating WGA writers' strike.  For many television fans, The Office is the highlight of the broadcast week.  In millions of households, The Office is at least a staple of the viewing schedule.  Thanks to the WGA ties within the cast and crew, The Office became one of the strike's very first and highest profile casualties.  What's an Office fan to do to pass the time until Fall 2008, the likeliest return date for (arguably) television's best comedy?  Well, although it won't make up for the show's absence, The Office's four main stars will be appearing in a number of upcoming theatrical films.  Here's where you can find Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer and Rainn Wilson while The Office remains on hiatus.

Steve Carell

Get Smart – June 20, 2008

Carell stars as the iconic Maxwell Smart in the theatrical remake of the famous TV comedy.  The Rock and Anne Hathaway co-star in what should be on of next Summer's biggest Hollywood comedies.

John Krasinski

Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
– 2008

Krasinski wrote the screenplay and directed this adaptation of David Foster Wallace's acclaimed novel about a graduate student (Julianne Nicholson) who suffers a bad break-up and subsequently interviews a series of men.  There is no release date set.  Rashida Jones makes an appearance alongside Krasinski.

Leatherheads – April 4, 2008

Krasinski has a major role in this highly-anticipated George Clooney directed romantic comedy set in the world of 1920's football.

Jenna Fischer

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story – December 21, 2007

Produced by Judd Apatow and directed by Jake Kasdan, Walk Hard is a parody of music biopics starring John C. Reilly as the Johnny Cash cypher and Fischer as his wife.  If you haven't seen the trailer, watch it now.  This is going to be good.

Rainn Wilson

Juno – December 5, 2007

Juno is the much buzzed about indie film starring Ellen Page as the titular character, a teenager who finds an interesting way to deal with her unplanned pregnancy.  The cast is ridiculous, with Wilson, J.K. Simmons, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Michael Cera and Allison Janney.

Additionally, Craig Robinson (Daryl) has a bit part in next summer's Judd Apatow-Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy Pineapple ExpressEd Helms will appear in next spring's sequel Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
