Kelly Rowan was born on October 26, 1965 in Ottawa, Ontario. She began her acting career in 1980, appearing in such movies as The Gate, Hook, Three to Tango, and A Girl Thing. In 1993, Rowan won a Gemini award for her work in Adrift. In 2002, Rowan was cast to portray Kirsten Cohen on The O.C. Kirsten Cohen is the mother of Seth and wife of Sandy Cohen. She is the former CFO of her father Caleb Nichol's real estate company. Following her father's death, Kirsten's already excessive drinking turned into full-fledged alcoholism, and she was forced to seek help.
