The Mentalist season 5 has been rolling along nicely and the series recently celebrated its 100th episode. Now there is more news from the hit show: Gabriela Curnen is joining the cast for a guest-starring role.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
According to EW's Inside TV
, Curnen, who is probably best known for her role as a shady cop on the The Joker's payroll in The Dark Knight
, has signed on for a recurring role. The actress is set to play Tamsin Wade, a character described as "a tough agent who works in the gang division of the CBI and a police tactical team."
Judging by her character in The Dark Knight, as well as a description like the one above, my guess is that Wade is going to be one tough chick. I'm curious to find out more about her and what it is that will bring her into the story with Jane and the rest of the CBI team. If she's working in the gang division, that probably means that the team will be put on a case that is gang-related.
But as she's also described as the member of a tactical team, I have to wonder if it could mean that we'll see her joining Libon's group on site. Will Lisbon and company need the help of Wade's team to infiltrate a hostile suspect's home or business? Also, I can't help but to think that there's a chance that Wade and Lisbon won't get along too well. From Wade's description it sounds like she likes to run her own operations, which would describe Lisbon as well. So what will happen when these two meet up? Time will tell, I suppose.
Then there's always the question of how Jane will react to Wade. Any time a new character is introduced to the show, no matter for how long, it's always interesting to watch their interactions with Jane. Will Wade find herself annoyed by all of Jane's antics, or will she learn to trust his instincts as much as everyone else on Team Lisbon?
What do you think of the news that Gabriela Curnen is going to be guest-starring on The Mentalist? Do you think that she and the rest of the CBI team will along or will there be some head-butting involved?
