'The Lying Game' Recap: Best of 'Sex, Lies and Hard Knocks High'
On this week's episode of The Lying Game, Emma (Alexandra Chando) tries to find out the truth from Sutton's parents, while Sutton (Alexandra Chando) learns more about Emma's life.

Sutton takes a page out of Emma's book

After Emma's best friend Lexi (former Friday Night Lights star Madison Burge) picks her up, Sutton has no choice but to pose as her twin. This includes staying at Lexi's house and attending the first day of Emma's school. Lexi seems to notice the differences in 'Emma', especially after Sutton suggests they go to a casino party that the real Emma would never attend. But Sutton breaks Lexi down and they go to the party, where Sutton comes away a big winner.

Emma overhears Sutton's parents arguing

Emma catches Ted (Andy Buckley) and Kristin (Helen Slater) fighting over whether they should tell Sutton the truth and Emma is desperate to find out what they have been lying about. Eventually, Kristin confesses everything she knows about Sutton's birth mother, which turns out to be even less than Emma knows. (Apparently, Kristin does not even know Sutton has a twin, let alone who her birth mother really is and Emma realizes Ted has been lying to Kristin from the start.) How do you think Kristin will react when she learns that her husband has been keeping so many things from her?

The Sex Talk

Kristin finds a condom in the wash and questions Laurel (Allie Gonino) about it. Laurel admits that she and Justin (Randy Wayne) have taken the next step in their relationship and Kristin is concerned. Kristin tells Ted to talk to Justin and Justin uses the alone-time to get under Ted's skin. Justin clearly knows something about Laurel's dad and he plants a seed of doubt in Laurel's mind when he tells her that he does not think Ted is as good of a man as everyone believes him to be. What do you think Justin knows about Laurel's dad? Does it connect back to the twins?

Char (Kirsten Prout) gets an interesting phone call

The episode does not start out well for Char when Derek breaks up with her under Alec's orders. Things go from bad to weird when Char receives a call from someone claiming to be her aunt Annie -- only the voice on the phone sounds nothing like Annie and the woman hangs up the moment Char's mom tries to talk to her. Char tells Mads (Alice Greczyn) about the incident and Derek overhears them and uses the information to blackmail Alec (Adrian Pasdar) into letting him get back together with Char. Who was the woman who called Char and what do you think she wants?

Sutton is going home

With her winnings from the casino party, Sutton buys a bus ticket back to Phoenix. But before she leaves, Sutton learns that Lexi knew who she was all along and was simply indulging her. Sutton tells Lexi about the letter she wrote to her parents revealing Emma's identity and confesses that she feels bad for writing it. Unfortunately, the letter has already arrived in Phoenix and though Emma manages to keep Sutton's parents from reading it, Emma decides she has to leave town before Sutton gets back. Emma is heartbroken at the thought of giving up her new life but Ethan (Blair Redford) tells her that she will not lose him because he is leaving with her. Will Sutton forgive Emma for her 'stealing' her life or will she send her packing?

On the next episode of The Lying Game, the fall finale is upon us and the twins finally come face-to-face once more.
