Is Quincy Tophet a Traitor?
"Welcome to Gitmo" begins with Tophet on his secret phone communicating with someone on the other end. He's clearly working outside his assignment perimeters and without Rachel's knowledge. This conversation provides insight into his loyalties.
Guantanamo Bay Infected
When the ship arrives at Gitmo, it's eerily quiet. The illness spread to the detention camp and took out most of the people there. Just like with the cruise ship, it's creepy and disturbing to see all the deceased. It's a struggle for Chandler's crew to witness the devastation because their own loved ones may be in a similar state.
Spread of the Disease
Rachel Scott provides a better understanding to the crew about how the disease spreads. They are informed about when masks are necessary and when they are not. It's interesting to watch how the crew reacts when enter the detention center regarding their own safety.
The USS Nathan James crew comes face-to-face with several uninfected Gitmo prisoners who are not happy their supplies are being raided. The prisoners set up protective measures which put the US crew in danger. Those inside the detention center and those still on the ship will have to work together to protect their entire crew. It's deadly and explosive!
Even Bigger Threat
While the crew is collecting supplies and fighting off the Gitmo prisoners, an even greater threat is looming in the distance. Another entity knows that they may have a cure to the deadly virus and comes after the USS Nathan James.
