Pretty soon,
Lauren Conrad won’t have anyone else to talk to on
The Hills besides Lo Bosworth. She has alienated herself from
Audrina Patridge and made enemies in
Heidi Montag and
Spencer Pratt. Montag and Pratt have been shopping for a reality series of their own for quite some time yet it was Conrad’s friend,
Whitney Port, who snagged the spinoff of her own. Soon, Whitney will star in her own MTV reality show, which will focus on her career in Los Angeles and New York. This week, it was announced that
Brody Jenner is also starring in his own MTV reality show, entitled
Bromance.
MTV has committed to six episodes for the first season as Brody Jenner tries to find a new member of his entourage. The show is a play on dating shows such as
The Bachelor and
A Shot At Love. Jenner will take a group of guys and take them on “dates” as well as spend one on one time with them. They will compete in a series of tasks, from acting as Jenner’s wingman to dealing with the paparazzi. Each episode will feature a “hot tub elimination ceremony”, where each contestant will be dressed only in a speedo. When someone is given the boot, they must immediately leave the hot tub, soaking wet, and do the walk of shame home.
Jenner, who is no stranger to reality television, fell in love with the idea. "I thought it was funny, and we recently lost a member of the entourage, so I thought we'd have fun with it," he told Variety. The idea of Jenner having his own show has been tossed around for quite some time and it was rumored that former bro, Spencer Pratt, would produce. However, it seems there’s no love between the two childhood friends anymore and Ryan Seacrest has stepped up instead. "I can speak from experience -- girls can come and go, but a 'bromance' can last forever," Seacrest said. Jenner’s good friend, Frankie Delgado, will also produce.
What do you think of Bromance?
