The Game is a situational comedy series about three women and their relationships with professional football players. The show is created by Mara Brock Akil and is also a spin-off of the series Girlfriends.

A combination of drama and comedy are the tones of the show The Game. Tia Mowry plays the lead role of Melanie Barnett, a first-year medical school student who has given up her dreams to follow her boyfriend Derwin Davis (Pooch Hall), a professional football player. Now, Melanie deals with her new lifestyle and gets a play-by-play account of the lives and relationships among NFL wives, girlfriends and managers who use their best "game" to help their men stay on the field and on their arm. The cast also includes Brittany Daniel as Kelly Pitts, Coby Bell as Jason Pitts, Hosea Chanchez as Malik Wright, and Wendy Raquel Robinson as Tasha Mack.

The Game is from Happy Camper Productions and Grammnet Productions with executive producers Kelsey Grammer, Mara Brock Akil, and Steve Stark. It airs Sundays 8:30 PM on CW.
