Actor John L. Adams was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina. After studying at Winston-Salem University, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally. Adams first became a stand-up comic, and then in 2000, he was cast in NBC's Just Deal. Many TV roles followed suit, and one of his most recent projects is a regular stint in Secrets of a Small Town opposite Angie Harmon. Bruce Lewis is played by John L. Adams on USA Network's science fiction and suspense series The Dead Zone. Lewis is the physical therapist assigned to Johnny after the latter work up from his coma.
