Carrie Bradhaw is returning to TV this January. The CW has set a premiere date for its '80s Sex and the City prequel The Carries Diaries.
The show, starring AnnaSophie Robb as a teenage Carrie navigating high school and her first glimpse of her true love, New York City, will premiere Monday, January 14 at 8pm on the CW. That same night 90210 will return from its winter hiatus, moving to its new time, 9pm.

The network says that most of its other shows will also return from break during that week, though specific information was not yet released. All CW shows will take a brief, one-month hiatus starting in the beginning of December.

What has yet to be decided is the date and time for the CW's other new mid-season show, Cult. That show centers on a journalist (The Vampire Diaries star Matt Davis) teaming with a blogger to investigate a series of murders that has ties to murders from a popular TV show.

It's likely that the CW will keep most of its schedule intact, with Hart of Dixie and Emily Owens, M.D. on Tuesdays and Arrow and Supernatural on Wednesdays.

Starting November 30, Nikita will move from 9pm on Fridays to 8pm, followed by repeats of Arrow. That is the network's sole open time slot, so it's possible Cult will take over Fridays at 9pm.

It's also possible that Cult could get the prime post-Vampire Diaries slot Thursdays at 9pm, moving Beauty and the Beast to Fridays. Cult would be a strong fit with TVD (mostly due to the presence of Matt Davis) and Beauty and the Beast hasn't been doing so well in the time slot. The last new episode lost more than 1.5 million viewers from its lead-in.

Are you excited for the premiere of The Carrie Diaries? Where do you think the new drama Cult should fit in to the CW's schedule?
