Lesley-Anne Down was born on March 17, 1954 in London, England. At age ten, she began modeling with the help of her father who placed her in commercials and beauty contests in which she won. By the time she was fifteen, Down had completed four films and was voted as Britain's Most Beautiful Teenager. She gained further international popularity when she starred in the British series Upstairs, Downstairs which became a hit in the U.S. Her feature films include The Pink Panther Strikes Again, A Little Night Music, and Hanover Street. She also appeared in television movies and miniseries North and South and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. In 1997 she was cast for a role in the soap opera Sunset Beach and in 2003 she was cast for another soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. She lives in Malibu, California with her third husband, cinematographer Don E. FauntLeRoy and her children.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Payne Marone is played by Lesley-Anne Down on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Jackie was the mother of Nick Marone and Massimo's ex-lover. Jackie thought that Massimo disliked her son and pretended that Nick's real father was Frank Payne. When she left for L.A., she became involved with Eric Forrester and later on was reunited with Massimo.
