In addition to the expanding franchise of NBC's
The Biggest Loser, a new book, entitled
The Biggest Loser Fitness Program: Fast, Safe, and Effective Workouts to Target and Tone Your Trouble Spots, is scheduled for release in the fall. The book, which is the latest in the series, is co-authored by Maggie Greenwood-Robinson, Ph.D., a leading health and medical writer.
According to Reality TV magazine,
The Biggest Loser trainers will reveal “the most efficient and effective move for a toned belly, timesaving workouts designed for today's busy schedules, beginner and advanced modifications [and] sensible and real-life eating advice from the show's nutrition experts.”
Aside from the intensive workout plan and practical tips on healthier eating, the book will also feature advice and motivating words from former contestants and other experts of
The Biggest Loser.
The Biggest Loser Fitness Program is the latest addition to the show's growing book collection. Other titles that have been inspired by the show include
The Biggest Loser: The Weight Loss Program to Transform Your Body, Health and Life, The Biggest Loser Calorie Counter: The Quick and Easy Guide to Thousands of Foods from Grocery Stores and Popular Restaurants and
The Biggest Loser Cookbook: More Than 125 Healthy, Delicious Recipes Adapted from NBC's Hit Show.
The books are not the only means for viewers to take part in the show's weight loss routines. The website offers viewers the chance to join a fitness club that features a circuit training program, healthy recipes and an assortment of fitness-related articles.
The new book will be available to the public on September 18, a week after the premiere of
The Biggest Loser's fourth season. As reported previously, fans can expect major changes when the show returns in the fall, including a new host in the form of
Days of our Lives star Allison Sweeney, the return of personal trainer Jillian Michaels and a twist regarding a secret third group of contestants.
The fourth season of
The Biggest Loser will air on September 11 at 8pm ET on NBC.
