Last week, Reality Steve told us
Ali chooses no one in the upcoming
Bachelorette finale and goes home alone.
Now,
Us Weekly claims that Ms. Fedotowsky not only chooses a guy from her final two in Tahiti, but she's currently engaged to him.
To make matters more confusing
: InTouch reports that Ali is kinda, sorta dating an entirely different guy back home.
We'll have to wait until the latest
Us Weekly issue comes out to see whether the mag's claims of a "confirmed" proposal are all that confirming. All
Us will say at the moment is that its unnamed sources say that Ali "is planning a West
Coast wedding in early 2011," and "she's already thinking about the details."
Which guy proposed? Spoiler-fiends shouldn't be surprised by this answer:
According to
Us, it's Roberto who puts a ring on it. At least, that's what we can surmise from the sub-header on the upcoming issue ("Her secret past with Roberto") and their teaser article, which reads, "To find out WHO Ali is engaged to, her secret past with him and to get details on her sexy off-camera fling ..." Unless they're claiming that Ali has a "secret past" with more than one of her bachelors.
Just what kind of "secret past" could Ali and Roberto share--and does that kind of far-fetched hint call into question whether
Us knows the real story? Should we even bother humoring
Us Weekly's info over Reality Steve's "no engagement" spoilers, given his stellar track record on past
Bachelor finales?
To tell the truth: I don't care, and I'm not sure I want to know. After a season of rampant, detailed spoilers, as the
Bachelorette finale approaches, it's strangely refreshing to think that the final outcome has been called into question and that we might actually have to
watch to find out what happens with Ali.
I'm sure that more spoilers and more supposed "proof" of an engagement or no engagement will keep popping up before the
Bachelorette finale airs in a month, but for now--isn't it a bit exciting to even hope that we could be in for a surprise?
