Last week's episode of Supernatural
, "Ghostfacers," certainly wasn't for everyone. I proudly declared my love
for Sam and Dean's reality show debut, but other fans thought that it was an unnecessary waste of time, especially coming so close to the end of the season. Those who didn't embrace "Ghostfacers" will be happy to hear that tomorrow night's episode, "Long-Distance Caller," gets back to normal and moves Dean's impending doom back to the forefront. It also features a special appearance from Jeffrey Dean Morgan
, and there's not a Supernatural
fan out there that isn't excited about that idea.
To prepare for "Long-Distance Caller," we have two exciting clips from the episode.
The CW's official description of the new Supernatural
reads, "Dean (Jensen Ackles
) is stunned after he receives a phone call from his dad, who tells him he has a solution to get Dean out of his deal. Sam and Dean fight because Sam is skeptical that it is really John on the other end of the phone and warns Dean not to listen to him, but Dean disagrees and sets off on his own path to follow his father's orders."
It's no surprise that Dean would be the one eager to follow his father's orders, but I think it's always wise to be skeptical of phone calls that come from beyond the grave. Is it possible that it's actually John and that he has information about Dean's deal? I don't think so, but in the world of Supernatural
you have to take every possibility into account.
The first clip from the episode shows Dean receiving a call from John. His dad tells him that he's disappointed in him for selling his soul, but he also claims that he has a way to get him out of the deal.
In the second clip, Dean is angry that Sam (Jared Padalecki
) refuses to believe that their dad is calling from beyond the grave. Sam begs Dean not to follow the orders from the phone call, but knowing Dean, he's probably not going to listen.
"Long-Distance Caller" airs Thursday at 9pm on the CW.
