Then: The angels and demons fought and Dean tearfully confessed to torturing souls while he was in Hell.
Now: The power goes out in a creepy house. The man living there gets up, but is shocked by a scary looking girl who comes out of the closet and menacingly walks towards him before we hear him choked to death.
Sam (Jared Padalecki) is asleep in the backseat of the Impala, meaning he probably doesn’t know what went on there between Dean and Anna in the last episode. Dean (Jensen Ackles) is awake searching for another case, even though they’ve been solving cases nonstop for a month. It sounds like someone is trying to make up for all the bad things he did in Hell.
The boys investigate the haunted house with the dead man and don’t find anything other than a doll head in the closet. A family drives up to move into the house made up of Dad, Mom, Son, Daughter and Uncle. I’m sure they have names, but it’s easier to refer to them this way.
The boys act quickly to keep the new owners away by telling them there’s asbestos in the walls. The family goes off to stay in another motel, and Daughter hopes it doesn’t have “hooker sheets” like the last place. Dean gives her a hilarious look that says, “Hooker sheets? That sounds like my kind of place!”
The Winchesters go off to learn that the man who died in the house had a wife who died in childbirth and a daughter who hung herself 20 years later. While the boys are getting information, the family has returned and decided to move in after all because there’s no asbestos.
In the house, Son is in his room when something in the closet plays catch with him. The parents see the word “Go” scribbled in crayon on the wall and yell at Son. He claims it wasn’t him, it was the girl in the wall who hates adults. Needless to say, they don’t buy it.
