The CW's newest reality series, Stylista, premieres tomorrow night after America's Next Top Model, and already, I am completely hooked on the show. The casting director for the show is either a brilliant genius or incredibly lucky because all 11 of the cast members are unique individuals who will be great to watch. Not all of them are likeable, necessarily, but they all make for fascinating reality television. Plus, the interactions between the cast members and the group dynamics as a whole are quite entertaining too. This group of 11 is like a little microcosm of the high school cafeteria: there are the cool bullies who smoke outside, the whiny insecure girls who developed too soon, the naifs who will have to learn a thing or two to stay in the competition. Oh, it's all going to be great fun.

The show hasn't started yet, but based on what I've seen of the show and the information about the cast that is available online, I am predicting a top three. Read on to see who's on my Stylista short list.

Ashlie

I think it must be some kind of law decreeing that every reality show shall have one contestant named Ashley, Ashlie, Ashlea, Ashleigh or any other variant on the name. But this particular Ashlie looks like a very strong candidate for an editorial job at Elle. She doesn't seem to be manipulative or vengeful, but she doesn't back down easily when threatened either. She's confident, possesses a detailed knowledge of the fashion world and she has impeccable taste. Keep an eye out for this one.








Danielle

Now, you're probably thinking that Danielle doesn't have a chance in hell at winning Stylista, if anything, because the prejudices against overweight people still run rampant. You might be right, but I think she's still a strong contender. She's going to be the dark horse that makes it through every elimination until, suddenly, she's in the top three. She might not be terribly confident, but she does have a good sense of style and a good editorial eye. If she can learn to be confident and make a good impression, she'll go far in the fashion world.







Megan

Megan is, to put it mildly, the biggest bitch on Stylista. There's no two ways about it. She is a bully, she's mean, she's spoiled, she has a sense of entitlement the size of Texas. But she's also really talented. She owns her own boutique and knows about all the trends. She's confident and will backstab anybody to get to the top. And, if nothing else, she'll make it far on Stylista because she's one of the most entertaining villains to watch.
