Stargate SG-1

-Drama Shown on the Sci-Fi Channel, this science fiction television series Stargate SG-1 is one of the most popular science fiction television series ever. Stargate SG-1, or more commonly referred as SG-1, takes place on earth with humans traveling using "stargates" or wormholes that allow space travel to outer planets. With conflict brewing with the Goa'uld, an alien race that is highly vicious and an enemy of humans, the humans must explore the Stargate to find and develop technology to defend itself against the Goa'uld. This all takes place from a top-secret base called SGC or Star Gate Command with the SG-1 Team. Biography

Richard Dean Anderson, who was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 23, 1950, is best known for his character on the popular TV series MacGyver. His appearance on the popular series General Hospital marked the start of his career, then went on to the seven-year run of MacGyver. Anderson loves to watch sports during his spare time, and watch the popular cartoon series, The Simpsons.
 
Jack O’Neill is played by Richard Dean Anderson on the Sci-Fi Channel original series Stargate SG-1. O’Neill is the founding commanding officer of the SG-1, and was promoted to Brigadier General and assumed command of Stargate Command. After a year, O'Neill was promoted again to Major General.
