The trailer for this week's episode provides quite a bit of information about the threats SAMCRO will be facing. Check it out here:
"To Thine Own Self" deals with the fall out from Otto killing the nurse in prison. With her death, Otto destroyed the RICO case against the club and the cartel/CIA's leverage over them. Of course, Romeo and Luis aren't going to lose their gun source and they put pressure on Clay to make sure that SAMCRO maintains the relationship ... even if that means taking Jax out of the picture permanently.
Jax is forced to move his plan into fast forward. He puts increased pressure on Gemma and Juice to find the documents from the safe to prove Clay's involvement with the Nomads. While Gemma tries to get closer to Clay, Nero becomes a complication. And, despite trying to do whatever he can, Juice hits an unfortunate road block.
Nero opens the new brothel, but gets resistance from his old crew. They don't like that he moved into the new location and make demands on Nero. Jax tries to help out, but that ends in gunfire and a Son getting shot. Nero gets pulled back into his old gang's business with disastrous results. His pain is only worsened by seeing Clay with Gemma.
Tara fears for her freedom over her involvement at the prison infirmary and Otto. She talks to Jax about her job offer and then makes a decision about it.
A mystery man (Donal Logue) visits with Otto at the prison and then shows up at St. Thomas Hospital. In the trailer
, he is seen punching Otto in his cell. Whoever he is, he doesn't look like he will be a positive presence.
Clay is a mixed bag. It's unclear if he is still plotting his way to the head of the SAMCRO table or if he has seen the error of his ways. He meets with Tig to try and regain his trust with an intriguing offer. Clay also has a heart-to-heart with Jax about what's gone down. Is Clay redeemable? Or, does he deserve to die?
In the end, that's a decision that Jax will have to make given all that he knows and can prove. Jax shows in "To Thine Own Self" that he means business and is capable of putting together a plan and carrying it out, but will it be successful?
The last few moments of the episode will guide the direction for the remainder of the season. Will SAMCRO survive? And, which club members will be made to pay for their misdeeds? Or, will all be forgiven?
