Maybe I'm being too optimistic. Maybe the Lauren Froderman fan in me is denying that Kent Boyd will still take the win on tonight's
So You Think You Can Dance finale. But after watching the performances last night, it looks like things are too close to call: there may be a shortage of memorable moments, but everybody stepped up to the plate.
To boot, I was supposed to say something like, "the only thing certain tonight is that Robert Roldan will finish in third place" -- but as I write this, DialIdol is saying he's actually first. Consider me confused.
It's pretty characteristic of the last two finales: the frontrunners and the sentimental favorites don't win. Will tonight be a repeat of those last two weeks, or will our predictions (stretching from the beginning of the season, in some cases) hold true? While Lo-Fro's been the most consistent dancer this season, there's no denying that Kent's personality will carry him to the win tonight. The two were neck-and-neck last night, and it's hard to tell who will actually take the prize.
There's still enough time (unless you're reading this past midday PST, in which case there is no time) to throw in your picks for
our little Fantasy TV game. Just remember that your first and second picks should be the finalists who you think will not win: in my case, it's Robert first, Kent second, and Lauren third. (The fan has to stick to his guns, of course.)
