We've hardly recovered from the villains we've seen on the premiere of Smallville, and already they're introducing a new one. On tonight's episode, we're obviously going to get to know "Metallo."
After his little tryst with Lois, war time reporter John Corben gets hit by a truck. Well, at least the entrance of guest star Brian Austin Green will be memorable. Anyway, on "Metallo," Corben wakes up alone in a dark and abandoned apartment, but there are other things to worry about than his surroundings.
What's worse is seeing how he's been transformed into Iron Man. Okay, not really. Maybe if you merge the Incredible Hulk with that superhero, since the green-tinted grunting Corben now has superhuman strength in addition to a Kryptonite heart.
But enough of my Marvel-DC blurb. You'll probably tear my head off for it anyway. Let's just get back to the latest
Smallville episode. More powerful than he ever was, Metallo is determined to exact revenge on the Red-Blue Blur. He doesn't believe the hero is all that, and thinks him irresponsible.
Meanwhile, Clark tries to stop Lois from investigating the case of the Red-Blue Blur. Unfortunately, the obstinate lady doesn't listen and in turn gets kidnapped by the new villain on the block - Metallo. We can bet Superman comes to save her as usual, then the action kicks off from there.
Below's a clip of tonight's episode of
Smallville, in which a very bloody John Corben wakes up and finds out about his transformation . It's kind of gross, and I'd advise you not to watch it while eating. But is it just me or does that blinking green spot on his chest remind you of a stoplight?
Written by Don Whitehead and Holly Henderson, the new episode "Metallo" airs tonight, Friday at 8pm on the CW. Also, since it's all about Corben, we doubt there's going to be any Zod tonight on
Smallville.
