Love was in the air during last week's episode of
Smallville, but not every fan of the series was happy with the numerous romantic declarations found in "Committed." Lois admitted she loves Clark, Chloe and Jimmy reaffirmed their bond with one another, and Tess and Oliver hooked up once again. Every
Smallville fan seems to have an opinion on these three couples, which has led to some interesting debates among BuddyTV users. Whether you like the romantic pairings or not, they're likely to continue for much of season 8.
This week's episode of
Smallville will put the relationships on the back burner to focus on the increasingly dangerous Davis Bloom. To get fans ready for the new installment, we have some photos and a clip from "Prey."
The CW's official description of the episode reads: "Clark (
Tom Welling) looks into a recent attack in a theater that may be the work of a serial killer. Suspecting it could be someone who is meteor-infected, he demands that Chloe (
Allison Mack) release the names of the people she is counseling at the Isis Foundation, which causes a rift between the friends. Davis fears that his blackouts could mean that he is the serial killer and collects evidence that may implicate him. Fearing the worst, he confesses his suspicions to Chloe."
The first picture from the episode shows Clark working with John Jones, aka Martian Manhunter. It's impossible to say why the helpful alien is making a visit, but it could be to warn Clark about the serial killer on the loose.
The next picture finds Chloe and Davis having a conversation next to a corpse. We all know that Davis will morph into Doomsday eventually, but is he actually responsible for these murders? With all the meteor freaks running around Smallville, I wouldn't bet on it.
In the clip from "Prey," Clark confronts Davis about a file containing all sorts of information about the murder victims. Davis claims he's collecting the information to help track the killer, but Clark is suspicious. It's a fun scene to watch just to see Sam Witwer act Tom Welling right off the screen.
"Prey" airs Thursday at 8pm on the CW.
