Phantom Zoner’s take note, Clark Kent is coming for you.  At least that is the basis of tonight’s sixth season finale of Smallville “Phantom,” but if you are guessing something entirely different is going to come of it, you may be right!  Amongst the loose threads to be tied up tonight: Chloe’s power will be revealed, Clarke will face a nemesis whose strength is his weakness, Lana will finally confront Lex over his deception, and the evening may have mortal complications for a major character.  For spoilers and speculation, read on.

First, the Internet rumor mill is overflowing with rumors that there will be not one, but two deaths tonight; at least one of them is a red herring.  This suggests that, in theory, Chloe’s power may be revealed as some sort of super duper healing ability.  We’ll see.

As for the crux of the story, we are all familiar with Clark’s long running goal of recapturing all the Phantom Zoner’s he accidentally released, tonight he will have a shot at fulfilling that goal once and for all with the help of Martian Manhunter.

It seems the mysterious Martian  Manhunter is looking to stop Lex’s plan for breeding a super army.  If you recall last week, Lex has his eyes on borrowing on Krypton freak DNA to get his program kick started.  Moreover, whom he plans to get it from will be a shock for everybody, but mostly Clark.

Rumors that someone was leaving the cast may not necessarily be connected to the death rumor.  There is at least one character that might be leaving under less grave circumstances.  Fans who really want to know who it is that is leaving the show got a boon when TheCW released the cast list for season seven of Smallville and a certain name was missing.
