Tonight on Smallville there's a serial killer on the loose, and everyone suspects Davis Bloom.  It's partly because all the evidence points to him, partly because he confesses, and partly because we all know he's secretly the villainous Doomsday..

Not only has Chloe (Allison Mack) restarted the Isis Foundation, but she's started an AA meeting for Krypto-freaks. One chick who can control electricity complains that meeting together is a terrible idea because it makes them more of a target. In a nice ironic twist, she's the one full of bad ideas, walking down a dark, abandoned alley on her way home. A mysterious figure drags her away and kills her. Either that's Doomsday, or the Smoke Monster from Lost has made it's way onto Smallville..

Clark's idea of a fun night is listening to the police scanner so he can go around and save people. Unfortunately, he shows up too late to the Ace of Clubs, where some major badness went down. Davis Bloom (Sam Witwer) is in the devastation, covered in blood. He has no recollection of what happened, but he's fine enough to walk off by himself. Davis takes a shower, revealing that though he was covered in blood, none of it was his. He also reveals a killer set of abs.  The set of Smallville must have the world's greatest gym.

At the scene of the crime, Clark (Tom Welling) bumps into the now powerless Martian Manhunter, who has become a Metropolis Police Department detective. Clark steals a cell phone that has a video of the attack, and he watches it with Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) to see shaky camera movement and loud noises. I know who's responsible for the attack: the Cloverfield monster! lark, however, suspects a Krypto-freak, so he tries to get Chloe to give him her anonymous list of freaks.

A potential bromance is brewing as Jimmy visits Davis at the hospital for the inside scoop on the Ace of Clubs massacre. Clark and Detective John "Martian Manhunter" Jones are investigating it too. Clark memorized Chloe's list of freaks, but Detective Jones suspects the paramedic first on the scene of several murders: Davis Bloom.
