It's shaping up to be a solid hosting spring for Saturday Night Live, though the news of their finale host may have slipped out earlier than they planned.

On Tuesday, a fan tweeted to the official SNL account, "I didn't realize that @nbcsnl isn't back until May 7th!!! What am I going to do!? Is Tina Fey the season finale!? #SNL #aaahhhh." To which the SNL social media ghostwriter wrote back, "Nope! We have Timberlake after that!"

The tweet has since been deleted, but the news is out there now, along with reports that Timberlake's musical guest will be none other than Lady Gaga. Quite a way to close the season. The episode is currently slated to air May 21.

Timberlake is what you might call an SNL regular, so the hosting leak isn't exactly surprising--if it's true. He's hosted in 2003, 2006 and 2009, and made various cameos and guest appearances in between.

And the timing for Timberface's return couldn't be better: He will be featured on The Lonely Island's (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone's goofy song troupe) new album, Turtlenecks & Chains, and his new movie with Cameron Diaz, Bad Teacher, is set to open June 17. Then he's got another film, Friends with Benefits co-starring Mila Kunis, opening in July.

I love me some JT in any form, but I think I speak for lots of ladies out there when I say: C'mon, Justin! Give us the new album already.

Anyway, this seems like a good time to relive the magic of 2006's SNL JT/Samberg smash "D**k in a Box," so let's do that.

Also, just for fun: When I saw Aziz Ansari do standup last summer, I also saw his opener, Dan Levy, do this joke about meeting ol' Timberface and it was so funny that I still quote it to this day. Enjoy, and have fun saying "whateva whateva shoes" forever.
