Denis Colin Leary was born on August 15, 1957. Leary, who is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, possesses both American and Irish citizenship. He founded the Emerson Comedy Workshop while he was studying in Emerson College in Boston. His big break came from his performance in No Cure for Cancer at the 1991 Edinburgh International Arts Festival in Scotland.
