Robert Ben Garant was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on September 14, 1970. The multi-talented actor, who is also a comedian, writer and producer, spent his early days in acting as part of the comedy troupe The State. He is also the creator and writer of the variety show Viva Variety. Garant takes credit, along with Thomas Lennon, for the screenplay of the comedy film Night at the Museum. Deputy Travis Junior is played by Robert Ben Garant on the Comedy Central series Reno 911! Junior is a redneck with a great love for beer, guns, and car racing. He is the one who trains police dogs for the Reno Sheriffs department, and always wears a bulletproof vest outside his shirt.
