Tonight, MTV returns with another season challenge and it couldn't come soon enough.
The Gauntlet 3 kicks off tonight, with Pro BMX dirt jumper TJ Lavin returning as host. In Mexico, 32 Real World and Road Rules contestants will fight it out for the chance at over $400,000 in cash and prizes. The players are split into two teams, veterans and rookies, and will have to compete in a series of challenges. Players up for elimination will have to fight it out in
The Gauntlet in order to stay in the game. The show will be full of the drama especially with returning players like Coral, Beth, and Katie. A video showing the best moments from the upcoming season is on MTV.com and here are some juicy tidbits about what you can expect to see!
CT and Diem met on a previous challenge where they fell in love but just because they're MTV sweethearts doesn't mean things are peachy all the time. Gameplay starts to get in the way when Coral gets into a heated argument with CT. Instead of defending him, Diem stands by, as does Katie. It's a rarity to see Katie stand by quietly but don't you worry. She runs her mouth plenty of other times this season.
Anyone who knows Katie know that she hates a liar. A liar sends her into a psychotic fit of rage. She also doesn't tolerate disrespect well. Midseason, she loses her cool on Beth, Tori, and Robin. Coral finds herself up against another bad girl, Beth, in The Gauntlet and one stays while the other heads back to the states. An arrogant and hotheaded Kenny gets into a screaming match with Tyrie which may not be the best idea since Tyrie is probably twice his size.
We can look forward to more than just fights on
The Gauntlet 3. Where there's an MTV challenge, there's alcohol and that means lots of hookups. Tyler announces to the world that Brooke is now a lesbian. Apparently, so is Evelyn or she's just like those sorority girls in college who made out with other girls for attention. Brooke and Evelyn get caught in more than one liplock, something Evan is very happy about as he seems to always have a front row seat to the action.
The preview leaves us with a final scary image. Eric collapses during a challenge while the other players scream for a medic to help him. We'll have to wait to find out exactly what happened and whether or not he's okay.
