'Project Runway's Heidi Klum Tries Out Designing with Own Maternity Line
Being the host of Project Runway has convinced Heidi Klum to attempt a career as a fashion designer, and it's actually something she's good at.  Or she thinks so, at least.  On her recent appearance for Good Morning America, she revealed that she has worked on a new maternity line to debut this Friday.

The Project Runway judge gave audiences a sneak peek of the clothes during her time on the show.  She was asked by host Juju Chang about what inspired her to work on maternity clothes, and Heidi responded with a nod to her reality competition.

"Well, you know on Project Runway I always give other people challenges, and it's very hard for them," Heidi Klum said.  "Being in the public eye and being on stage, doing so many things, out and about and always trying to look stylish - that was my challenge, to look good."

She also added that her previous pregnancies really changed things for her.  "I've had four pregnancies, so I learned a lot being pregnant four times," Klum explained  "On all the maternity wear that is out there, I kind of wanted to make something that is stylish."

There really are so many fashions out there for this Project Runway host to wear, but they never seemed to satisfy her.  "I wanted to put a lot of great key pieces together," Heidi said.

When the models were brought out, we see several billowy dresses and stretchy pants that Heidi thought up herself.  There are also pieces that were hand-painted by the model, in addition to the unitard that she admits makes things easier for the pregnant woman.

If you want to see the clothes for yourself, check out the Good Morning America clip here.

Heidi certainly walked a mile in the shoes of those struggling designers, even though it seemed so easy for her.  Maybe because there weren't any judges and deadlines to cause her panic.
