It's playtime in the workroom on Project Runway tonight, but we won't be seeing as much smiles from the designers as we expect. They'll have to deal with quite an invasion, when a gaggle of little girls head to the competition and take on the job of clients.
On "A Little Bit of Fashion," the remaining 11 contestants won't just have a tough time sewing garments for the kids, they'll also have to be babysitters for the day. Tim Gunn certainly wasn't kidding when he said this season was going to be difficult.
For the first time on
Project Runway, the challenge will be to create garments for children. But seeing the trailer, it's not that simple.
For one thing, these designers don't exactly have plenty of expertise in this field. While it could be easy to make miniature versions of what you'd regularly wear, there is yet another twist for tonight's big event.
The other dilemma that the contestants have to face is creating a matching piece for their models. It looks to be that way in the clip below, as we see two females strutting their outfits on the runway. Is this some sort of mother-daughter challenge?
Below, you can see the kiddie chaos in the workroom as the designers do their best to achieve "A Little Bit of Fashion." Hearing the judges' comments, I don't think anyone pulled it off.
Speaking of judges, tonight's guest will be acclaimed designer Tory Burch. I did a background check on her and found out that she's a mother herself. She has three sons and three stepdaughters, so this challenge could just be right up her alley.
But she's not the one who has to deal with girls running around the workroom playing leapfrog with the sewing machine. It seems as though these clients prove to be more demanding than last week's, which is saying a lot since they had to design for Heidi Klum in the previous episode.
Tonight, it's more playtime panic for the contestants as
Project Runway airs "A Little Bit of Fashion" at 10pm on Lifetime.
