Last week on Project Runway All Star
s, the designers had to create elegant and high fashion looks that celebrate a woman's inner superhero. Fabio's snake-inspired dress earned him a victory while Amanda's pink dress sent her packing in 11th place. This week, Betty Boop takes center stage as the designers are tasked to create a young, chic Hollywood outfit for her.

In the episode "Thrown for a Loop by Betty Boop," Betty Boop tells the designers to create a special collection for her that aims to inspire young girls in Hollywood. The collection should embody her style-- which is glamorous, playful and at the forefront of fashion. The designers will be given one day to work on the challenge and a budget of $200, and the winning collection will be sold at Torrid.com and other locations nationwide.
Among the Betty Boop-inspired designs, Helen, Stanley, Merline, Edmond, Joshua, and Char were given the highest and lowest scores. Guest judge designer Rebecca Minkoff praised Joshua's outfit for having many layers, physically and figuratively, while Isaac described the winner of the challenge as racy but not trashy.
Unfortunately, Char failed to impress the judges with her maternity dress. Apart from the color, everything else about the outfit was upsetting from draping to neckline. Not surprisingly, she was sent home.
What did you think of this week's challenge? Did the judges make the right call?
