Big Red Chairs: New Shields Brothers, Moses Goes Premium and Tony Vincent's EP
Want to get punched in the face...with a cover of a Carly Rae Jepsen song? And who's going to be performing on Showtime? Welcome to Big Red Chairs, the blog for all your The Voice needs. This week: new video from the Shields Brothers and Moses Stone, Tony Vincent has a plan, and Pip throws a party.

It's been a crazy busy week in The Voice land. I've gotten new videos, new music, a whole slew of tour dates, and plenty of news to share with you about what your favorites from both seasons are up to. As always, let me know if there's a question you have or someone that you want to hear from!

The Shields Brothers Cover Carly Rae Jepsen

If there's anyone that could make Carly Rae Jepsen's much-played (and sometimes joked about) pop song "Call Me Maybe" sound different, it's the Shields Brothers. Team Cee Lo's rockers Rory and Tristan Shields have put out their "rockified" cover. Give it a listen below and let me know what you think.

Moses Stone Brings "My Moment" To Showtime

Team Christina's Moses Stone has a big night ahead of him: this Saturday, June 2nd, he'll be a part of the Kayode vs. Tarver fight at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Here's the dish straight from Moses: "I will be performing my new single "My Moment," walking Lateef Kayode out for his ring entrance. I met Lateef Kayode at Wildcard Boxing Gym, where I train, in Hollywood. He heard my song and was so inspired by it he asked me to come and perform it for this fight."

Here's some pre-fight video from the gym courtesy of Moses.

The fight will be carried on Showtime, June 2nd at 9 PM ET/PT. Congratulations to Moses on the exciting opportunity! Check out my interview with Moses if you haven't already.

New Music: Katrina Parker, Nicolle Galyon, Justin Hopkins, Mathai, Karla Davis and Elenowen

Team Adam's lovely Katrina Parker has just released an acoustic cover of Pink's "Perfect." You can click right here to download it, and if you missed my recent catch-up interview with Katrina, it's over here.

Her teammate Nicolle Galyon just posted a free download this week: click here to get "Echo." You can likewise thank Team Cee Lo's Justin Hopkins for a free download of "The Great Escape."

Mathai has a new Marc Broussard cover here and Karla Davis has a new cover vid up as well.

From season one, Team Blake's Elenowen have just put out their new EP. You can find that right over here. Elenowen (Josh and Nicole Johnson) were the show's first duo, and they were pretty great.

Fundraising Updates: Tony Vincent Launches PledgeMusic, Pip Hosts A Concert

Last week, I brought you all the info you needed to know about some of The Voice artists' fundraising efforts to get albums made. Team Cee Lo's Tony Vincent is the latest to join that group - yesterday he started a PledgeMusic page for fans to donate to the completion of his EP. You can go right here to contribute.

I want to give a shoutout to all the Team Tony Vincent fans who have already participated, because in two days, Tony has already raised over half of his goal! That's amazing. Now let's get him to the finish line. And if you missed my catch up interview with Tony, you can click right here to read it.

In support of his Kickstarter fundraising effort, Team Adam's Pip is hosting "An Evening With Pip" at the Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, GA on Sunday, June 3rd. A $50 ticket gets you into an exclusive concert with beverages and hors d'oeuvres provided. You can find out more information at this Eventbrite link.

Tour Dates: Justin Hopkins, Beverly McClellan, Orlando Napier with Jesse Macht

A few Voice artists announced a lot more tour dates this week. Justin Hopkins isn't just giving away music, he's also headed to the Midwest and East Coast. He'll be visiting Chicago, IL; Carmel, IN; Asbury Park, NJ; Philadelphia, PA and New York City over the next week. Lucky tourgoers will also have the chance to purchase thumb drives with every song Justin's recorded on them. (Those of you that do this will have my eternal jealousy.) Click to Justin's Facebook page for venues and dates.

Also busy touring is season one finalist Beverly McClellan, who has to be one of the hardest-working artists in our family. She always seems to be heading somewhere! Beverly's upcoming tour dates include stops in Des Moines, IA; Buffalo, NY; Cleveland, OH; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI, Denver, CO; and Los Angeles, CA. Click over to her Facebook page for a lengthy list of upcoming shows.

West Coast fans, there's a special show I want to draw your attention to: Team Adam's Orlando Napier will be playing Witzend in Venice, CA on June 8 - and his opening act is one of my favorite musicians, the very talented Jesse Macht. Jesse just released a sample off his upcoming album, and you can listen to that here. The show is only $10 to see both these fab musicians. If you can get there, you don't want to miss this. Go to the venue's website for more info.

Exit Notes

I'm normally not a competitive person, but The Voice is part of Ology.com's Best Reality Performance Show contest. And as of right now, it's in next-to-last place! This can't be true, right?!? Get on over here and let's change that!

And a belated Happy Birthday to coach Cee Lo Green!

That's all I've got for this week, but for more on The Voice, you can follow my Voice-exclusive Twitter at @bigredchairs.
