Paris Hilton comes back to television screens with her new reality series,
Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, in which she aims to find a new best bud. In fact, the 27-year-old fashion entrepreneur says that she has one requirement that not all individuals could pull off, and that’s being “paparazzi-ready” at all times. Let’s face it—Paris lives under the limelight 24/7, so her best friend, who we assume would always be by her side, needs to tough it up for the cameras as well.
Recently, the Hilton heiress spoke to Reuters to share her thoughts on the MTV reality series and what she gained from it.
"The person who won is now my best friend. We hang out. Yeah, we're really friends," Paris revealed to Reuters. "We've been having barbecues and hanging out at the house. The winner and I have been pretty low-key so far, because it is top secret right now."
The reality show wasn’t just another star search. In fact, it mostly resembles a camp or workshop in which the contenders were taught how to deal with living under the Hollywood spotlight, which entails a lot of red carpet events, parties and product endorsements.
"In my life you can get photographed at any time. You never know when paparazzi are going to be hiding around the corner. So my friend needs to be paparazzi-ready," Paris explained.
But before you label her as superficial, get this—Paris says that she values the inner qualities more than just looking hot in front of the camera. In fact, she is proud of the fact that she, too, can be a good friend.
"I will always tell you the truth," she says, for starters. "If you ask me if I like your outfit, if I don't, I'll say I don't. I'm a lot of fun. I love showing my friends my world and enjoying life."
Show off, she did, as Paris treated the contestants to a trip to Las Vegas. She recounts, “They (the contestants) were so excited. We went on a private jet to Las Vegas and they had never been on a private plane. It was nice to really show them things they maybe never could do in their life. They were really appreciative and so sweet.”
