Last Monday's special 1940s-themed episode of One Tree Hill was one of the lowest rated installments of the season.  Maybe viewers were turned off by the time period, or maybe they wanted to spend the hour mocking Heroes instead of checking out Chad Michael Murray's scripting debut.  Viewers who skipped the noir outing will definitely want to return for next week's episode, which features Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek as a wild, coke-snorting film director.  I don't want to wait for my life to be over before seeing the Beek from the Creek on OTH.

To get fans ready for Monday's One Tree Hill, we have a hilarious clip from the episode.

The CW's official episode description reads: "As Lucas takes a trip to Hollywood to meet his film director, Nathan gets a pro basketball try-out.  Peyton struggles with Mia to focus on her follow-up album, and Millicent confronts Mouth about Gigi.  Julian approaches a dubious Brooke (Sophia Bush) about designing clothes for his movie, and Haley takes a reluctant Jamie (Jackson Brundage) to his school talent show."

I've always had a strange affection for James Van Der Beek, possibly because I watched nearly every episode of Dawson's Creek when it originally aired.  Aside from that, he was fantastic playing a dark, sex-obsessed college student in The Rules of Attraction.  Anyone who saw that movie won't find the following clip, which shows Van Der Beek's character snorting coke off of Lucas' movie script, too shocking.  Once you've seen the actor get drunk, pick his nose, and make out with Ian Somerhalder in The Rules of Attraction, everything else is fairly tame.



The new episode of One Tree Hill airs Monday at 9pm on the CW.  It'll be preceded at 8pm by a repeat of "Even Fairy Tale Characters Would Be Jealous," which features the big USO show.
