Jennifer Westfeld's Biography:

More popularly known for her role on Kissing Jessica Stein, an independent film which she co-wrote and co-produced, Jennifer Westfeldt has garnered a lot of recognition over the years. Westfeldt was born on February 2, 1970 and raised in Connecticut where she attended Guilford High School. After graduating from high school, she went on to study at the prestigious Yale University and after completing her education pursued an acting career on stage. In 2004, she was nominated for a Tony Award for her work on Wonderful Town. On the small screen, Westfeldt has worked in several television programs, appearing regularly on Two Guys and a Girl and Holding the Baby and as a recurring character on Judging Amy and Hack. She plays a lead character on the ABC comedy series, Notes from the Underbelly.

Lauren, on the new ABC comedy series Notes from the Underbelly, is played by Jennifer Westfeldt. Lauren is an expectant mother who tries hard to cover up her pregnancy from her friends and family because she and husband Andrew would like to wait until everything is in place. However, Lauren begins to slip up, behaving in ways only pregnant women do, such as suddenly not drinking any alcoholic beverages or switching to decaffeinated coffee. It gets more and more difficult to pretend nothing has changed, making them resort to desperate but hilarious ways to keep the pregnancy a secret.
