Devon Werkheiser Biography:
Devon Werkheiser is on his way to reaching high levels of celebrity in television and film. The teenage head-turner was born on March 8, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia and now goes to school in Duluth. Upon seeing Devon do a Jim Carrey impersonation when he was just six years old, it became clear to his parents that acting was their son’s gift. Although Devon also enjoys playing ice hockey and the guitar, acting is the driving force in his young life. As a child, Devon took acting lessons at the Talent Factory in Atlanta, where he first experienced acting in plays such as The Emperor’s New Clothes and Halloween at Boo Castle. In 2002, Devon appeared as Mel Gibson’s son in We Were Soldiers and a year later in the independent film, Recipe for Disaster. Devon’s most recent project for television can be seen in Nickelodeon.
Ned Bigby, played by Devon Werkheiser on the Nickelodeon teen sitcom Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, is an eighth-grader at James K. Polk Middle School. He apparently knows all the secrets to surviving life in school. Ned encounters specific situations in which he tries to resolve by consulting his-so called “survival guide.” The show follows Ned and his friends, Moze and Cookie, as they try to address typical teenage trials, such as dating and overcoming insecurities.
