Tomorrow night is the NCIS Season 10 premiere episode and already we're getting some fantastic news about what's to come with Tony, Abby and Ziva in November.

Tony relives memories from his childhood

TV Guide reports that NCIS is going to reveal the origins of Tony's obsession with movies in an episode set to air in November. In the episode, Tony finds an old camera from his childhood and Abby helps him to develop the photos that are on it. Tony discovers a treasure when the images turn out to be of him and his mother, who died when he was a little boy. To add to the authenticity of the scene, Michael Weatherly submitted his own childhood photos for the production to use.

It turns out that Tony's love of movies began with his mother, which will be explained in the episode. Says Weatherly, "She was really the beginning of his love for movies and why that is such a deep, penetrating part of who he is. The last gift she gave him was to turn to the movies as a moral compass."

A soft, vulnerable moment

The scene will reportedly also strengthen another bond on the series: that of Tony and Ziva. After looking at the photos, Tony will share memories of his mom with Ziva. Says Cote de Pablo, "we end up going deeper with each other than ever before. It's a profound, soft, vulnerable moment."

I don't know about any of you other NCIS fans, but this news has got me pretty excited to see this episode. The whole cast of this show is great and I love all of them, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Tony. As Gibbs said once, he's very good at hiding behind the mask of a clown, but we all know he's been through a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing him delve deeper into his mother's death, even though I'm sure it will break my heart.

Tiva moment: Yay or nay?

As for this bringing on what some could call a "Tiva" moment, I can't say that I'm too excited for that. I'm still very much of the opinion that these two characters need to stay friends. If this brings them closer together as friends, then I'm all for it. If it starts to lead them somewhere else, well, I'll have to see how that works out before I completely decide how I feel about it.

Either way though, I know that this episode of NCIS is sure to be a special one and I can't wait to see it. How about you guys? Are you excited to see this episode and find out more about Tony's fascination with cinema?
