There are many things to look forward to in the upcoming season of ABC's Nashville, including a Tony Award winning guest-star, a live musical event and a possible pregnancy. Read on to find out more.

Laura Benanti To Guest Star

Deadline reports that Laura Benanti, who recently played Baroness Elsa Schrader in the NBC television production of The Sound of Music Live!, will be part of a multi-episode arc in Nashville season 3. The Tony award winner is set to play a budding country star named Sadie Stone, who gets chummy with Connie Britton's Rayna.

A Live Musical Event

September 24 is definitely a date to remember for Nashville fans. Not only does it mark the season 3 premiere, it also marks the show's live musical event. According to Entertainment Tonight, the premiere will feature two live performances from some of the Music City characters. The first set of live renditions will be devoted to fans of the east and central coats while the west coast can enjoy the second batch of live performances. Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) singing "If It's Love" and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) singing "I Know How To Love You Now" are just some of the acts fans can look forward to. The studio tracks and live rendition of the songs will be available for fans to download on iTunes following the episode.

A Pregnant Juliette Barnes?

Could art imitate life for Juliette Barnes? Given Hayden Panettiere's real life pregnancy, it is highly possible her character Juliette to tap into motherhood as well. Executive producer Dee Johnson reveals to TV Guide,  "We are going to address the idea of pregnancy. That's as much as I'll say about that. ... She's faced with new obstacles, let's put it that way." Now if Juliette does become pregnant, the more interesting question would be: Who's the father?
