Tonight, ABC will be giving fans of
Miss Guided a double treat once again by airing two episodes of the “cute and embraceable” comedy series. However, tonight's installments are considered extra special as they mark the conclusion of the pilot season.
To give you an overview,
Miss Guided centers on Becky Freeley (
Judy Greer), a geek who attended high school at Glen Ellen and her sort of triumphant return as the school's guidance counselor. Now, she is determined to help out all the high school kids with the patient, sage advice she never got. There a few twists, however. Becky finds herself attracted to the mechanic-turned-Spanish teacher, Tim (
Kristoffer Polaha), who also becomes the object of affection of Lisa Germain (
Brooke Burns), the newly hired English teacher who was Becky's classmate in high school and the homecoming queen at Glen Ellen. Clearly, not much has changed at the old alma mater as Becky feels as if she's back in high school.
Tonight's first installment is fittingly called “High School Musical.” It follows school vice principle Bruce Terry (Chris Parnell) as he assigns Becky, who happens to be the least creative faculty member on campus, to direct the school's musical play.
More comedy ensues in the episode “Frenemies," in which Lisa makes the mistake of seeking relationship advice from Becky. Unaware that Becky has eyes for Tim, Lisa confides in Becky that her divorce is final and seeks her advice about dating. Meanwhile, Becky intervenes in an unusual manner when Bruce gives a rebellious student, Shawna, six months of detention for pulling the fire alarm.
Guest starring on the season finale of
Miss Guided is Rumer Willis, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, as a student who manages to get on Bruce's bad side.
