While fans of
Tyson Beckford are waiting for the new season of
Make Me A Supermodel to air, they can catch the supermodel turned actor in his new movie
Hotel California, which will be released early this year.
The movie, which is currently shopping for a distributor, has been filmed throughout Los Angeles in early 2007. It is produced by Alliance Group Entertainment and is directed by first time director Geo Santini.
Described as a psychological crime thriller with “enough action and suspense to create an instant cult classic and film noir masterpiece,”
Hotel California centers on the story of three professional criminals, which consists of Erik Palladino, Simon Rex and the host of
Make Me A Supermodel.
It follows drug smuggler Troy Walkens (Palladino) as he returns to Los Angeles from Miami two years after he turned on crime boss Dmitri Debartolla (Raymond J. Barry). Troy's former partners Al (Beckford) and Pete (Rex), whom he betrayed years before, are dismayed to learn that he's back in town. Troy's hotel room provides a grim setting for the reunion of these three former partners. With a prosthetic leg, a cocaine habit, and a nothing to lose attitude, Troy is on the edge as he tries to figure out where Pete and Al's loyalties lie.
Naturally, Al and Pete call their infamous crime syndicate leader Dmitri to inform him about Troy. While Dmitri, Al and Pete, along with Troy's former love Jessie (Tatyana Ali) attempt to exact their revenge, Troy tries to convince them that he is not the man he was before. In fact, he also has a brand new devious plan for them to get involved in.
Although Beckford has massively excelled in the field of modeling, he is no stranger to movie industry. Prior to
Hotel California, the
Make Me A Supermodel host has worked in films such as
Kings of the Evening,
Wait, and
Into the Blue.
