Don Draper is clearly becoming hungry for overtime work mainly because working overtime means hooking up with Suzanne Farrell. We all saw it coming ever since they met in "The Fog" and it all became lucid in last week's episode of Mad Men.
When we last saw Mad Men, the boys were doing a commercial for Lucky Strike and Sal got propositioned by client Lee Garner, Jr. But Sal turned him down, consequently upsetting the client, who now wants Sal to be fired. This week, though, the firm is focusing on its 40th year but it looks like some of the men aren't looking forward to the anniversary party.
After kissing Sally's teacher and spending the night in bed, Don makes it clear that he doesn't care about the consequences if it means that he gets to have her when he wants her. The tension between Suzanne and Don is powerful but coming from a man like Don, who is no stranger to sexual affairs, we all know where this is going.
Betty, on the other, has somewhat surprised me by starting an affair of her own with Henry. Right now she's fickle and she's also the kind of person who knows what she wants but is eaten away with guilt. Following her little rendezvous with Henry in his office, it looks like she may take her affair a little bit slow... or not. Something tells me that since tonight's episode, "The Color Blue," is all about Sterling Cooper celebrating a milestone, Don will be "working" extra hard in the office, or spending time in bed with teacher Suzanne.
Meanwhile, Peggy and Paul compete on an account.
