There are some interesting dates on Jin’s tombstone. First, assuming the first dates listed are the birthdays of Sun and Jin, then Jin was born on November 27, 1974 and Sun was born on March 20, 1980. This means, when the show began, both actors were playing characters considerably younger than they actually are. Yunjin Kim was 30 when the show started, though Sun was 24. And Daniel Dae Kim was 36, though Jin was 29 when the plane crashed. This probably doesn’t mean anything, it’s just interesting.

What does mean something is that Jin’s tombstone says he died on September 22, 2004. The day of the Oceanic 815 crash. Whaaaaaaaaaat?
This raises many questions. For one, though the promos promised we’d learn the identities of the final members of the Oceanic Six, they must be lying. If Jin’s tombstone says he died in the crash, then, in the post-crash world, he could not have been considered one of the Oceanic Six. Since I refuse to believe the writers would be so stupid, I can only assume this means there is another.
