Leah Pipes, who was born on the 12th of August of 1988 in Los Angeles, California, launched her acting career in 2001 when she appeared in the television series, Angel. She was later cast for a guest starring role on The Brothers Garcia after appearing on commercials for Nabisco and Disneyland. In 2002, Pipes was cast as Sarah Davis on ABC's Lost at Home, a romantic comedy about a workaholic father who was trying to rekindle his relationship with his children. Her other guest appearances on television are those on Drake & Josh, Clubhouse, Malcolm in the Middle, Bones, Shark and Crossing Jordan. In 2004, she played Samantha in the Disney Movie Pixel Perfect and in 2005, appeared in the TV movie Fertile Ground as Tess. She also appeared in Odd Girl Out in 2005 and Fingerprints a year later. Aside from acting, Pipes is interested in soccer and reading books.

Katie Clarke is played by Leah Pipes in the CW television series, Life is Wild. Katie is the daughter of Danny Clarke with his first wife, Claire, who is now deceased. She has an eleven year old brother named Chase and two step siblings, Jesse and Mia. When Katie's father decides to move the family to The Blue Antelope in South Africa, she thinks it's a disastrous idea but after seeing and experiencing The Blue Antelope, which is where her mother grew up, it doesn't seem to be too bad at all. Life is Wild follows the story of a troubled family who somehow finds comfort so far away from home in South Africa.
