Ralph Harris, Jr.


American television and film actor Ralph Harris, Jr. is one of the top 10 contestants appearing in season five of the NBC reality talent show Last Comic Standing. When he found out that he had been selected and was part of the lineup of finalists, he stated, “It felt like I was back. I can't wait to represent all of the great comedians around the country." Born and raised in Philadelphia, he presently resides in Los Angeles and has acted in a number of television shows and films. He also regularly tours the country and continues to perform stand-up comedy in front of live audiences, and cites Bill Cosby as one of his influential idols.

 

He has appeared on series such as Seinfeld, Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, In Living Color, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Harris also starred in the ABC sitcom On Our Own, and was featured on both Comedy Central Presents and The HBO Half-Hour Comedy Special. He has also worked in the movie industry, debuting in the Academy Award-winning feature film and Broadway adaptation Dreamgirls alongside veteran actors such as Danny Glover and Eddie Murphy. Harris also appears in the comedy movie Evan Almighty.
