'LA Ink' Stars to Attend Tattoo Convention in Montreal
Two of LA Ink's featured tattoo artists are heading over to Canada next month for the Art Tattoo Montreal 2007 convention.  The three-day event will be held at La Gare Windsor located at Bonaventure Metro Station.

Kim Saigh and Hannah Aitchinson have been named the convention's special guests, along with pin-up website, Suicide Girls.  Saigh and Aitchinson will be tattooing live and showcasing their work for attendees.

Aside from Kim Saigh and Hannah Aitchinson, around 148 other tattoo artists are expected to participate in the event, all coming from different countries like France, Denmark and Italy.  The event will open on September 14 at 6pm and culminate on September 16 at 8pm.  The art exhibition, consisting of paints, boards and body suits, will run through the whole weekend.

On the first day of the event, tattoo artist Safwan will conduct a seminar called Optimizing "Tattoo Machine Efficiency," with tickets going for 60 Canadian dollars.  On the last day of the convention, another seminar will be held, this time on "Portraits and Realistic Tattooing" from Shane O'Neill.  Tickets will go for 150 Canadian dollars.

The convention will also hold a tattoo competition.  At the end of each day, an artist's work will be deemed tattoo of the day.  Trophies will also be given to the artist and the person he/she tattooed, with first, second and third place winners being named in each category.

A pre-convention party hosted by JAGERMEISTER will be held on Thursday, September 13, while after-hour parties will be held at the end of each day at Foufounes électriques.

Entrance fees vary for each day, and attendees will also be charged upon registration.

Originally, Kat Von D, star of LA Ink, was slated to appear at the convention, but because of conflicts in her schedule, she had to back out of the event.

"I was originally gonna be appearing at the Montreal Tattoo Convention, but due to my crazy filming schedule, I've had to cancel last minute!” Kat Von D posted in her Fan Club's Myspace.  “But not to worry!  Hannah Aitchison and Kim Saigh LA Ink/High Voltage Tattoo will be there, and that will make up for it 10 times over!  I SO wish I was there to tattoo and party with you guys, but I'll make up for it next year!"

High Voltage Tattoo is a tattoo parlor owned by Kat Von D.  It is currently the center of activity on LA Ink, which airs Tuesday nights on TLC.
