Eleven-year-old Mike from Bellevue, Washington is an aspiring actor who claims he wants to enter the Julliard School or the University of Washington to study theater and physics one day. He looks up to Rau Wallenburg and George Washington for their leadership, and Harrison Ford as his favorite actor. He believes that global problem is a major issue and that solar power is a preventive measure to undertake.

Mike is one of 40 kids to join CBS' Kid Nation, where they are sent to Bonanza City, New Mexico to establish their own town. The kids are tasked to engage in mature activities such as labor and governance, and chosen ones will be awarded gold stars worth $20,000 every three days in the town meeting.
