From North Palm Beach, Florida comes 14-year-old Blaine who admires professional surfer Kelly Slater. Nicknamed "Bhuz," he believes that Bill Clinton was dishonest and untrustworthy and that over population, hunger and environmental destruction is a few of the world's greatest problems today. Blaine enjoys history class and collecting silver coins. He does not read comics but listens to rap, rock, reggae, alternative and Christian music. He also enjoys eating lobster and crab, and drinking Pepsi.
Blaine is one of 40 kids joining CBS' Kid Nation, a reality show which features kids building their own empire in Bonanza City, New Mexico, a former mining town. Today, it is a deserted place that they aim to build up again, creating a society modeled after the real world, with modifications from their brilliant minds.
