Kim Kardashian has been denied a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame because she doesn't meet the requirements needed to become a candidate, according to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians
star told V Magazine
that she wanted to break the existing trend that hinders reality stars such as herself to be included on the Walk of Fame list but her dreams of earning a star has been shot down, at least for now.
A representative from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told The Hollywood Reporter
that, "Part of criteria in being honored is receiving awards such as Emmys, SAG Awards, Oscars, etc. in the category of television, live-stage performance or motion pictures. They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more."
The rep added the Kim is "not on our radar right now" considering her limited acting experience which includes a guest role on Drop Dead Diva and most recently, a role in Tyler Perry's The Marriage Counselor.
Meanwhile, Kim is also reportedly dealing with family issues, specifically involving her stepfather Bruce Jenner. Perez Hilton
reports that the two are currently not speaking to each other because Bruce is not happy about Kanye West's latest single in which he refers to girlfirned Kim as Perfect Bitch.
A source of The National Enquirer adds, "Bruce didn't like Kanye from the start. He thinks he's crass - and disrespectful! He told Kim she'd better take a serious look at ALL her failed relationships - and figure out why she keeps falling for the wrong type of guy. Bruce said, 'You're never going to be in a successful relationship if you keep going out with men like Kanye!'"
Kim, on the other hand, thinks that Bruce just never likes any of the men she dates.
