Now that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly married on paper
, the focus shifts on their highly anticipated Paris wedding which is set on May 24. According to Us Weekly
, which gave an exclusive look at the couple's wedding invitation, about "100 were given spots on the guest list" and that the invitations were released in mid-April.
Unlike her previous televised wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star's upcoming nuptials to the father of her child is expected to be more intimate. Kim even revealed on Twitter that their vows would not be filmed but "everything leading up til and after" would be. "We've decided to keep this close to our heart and share thru photos," she wrote.
Two weeks before her big day, Kim was given a surprise wedding shower at The Peninsula hotel in Beverly Hills. Organized by mom Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kourtney Karadashians, the event was attended by family members and close friends of the bride, including Larsa Pippen, Rachel Roy, Brittny Gastineau,Simone Harouche, Ciara, Leah Jenner.
Kim's BFF Jonathan Cheban remained tight-lipped regarding Kim's big day. "It's a big, private day, and I'm not going to be the one to ruin it. I'm not getting killed at dinner tonight!" Jonathan joked on E! News
Thursday. "I just keep my mouth shut, you know and it's going to be a really special day and that's it."
Meanwhile, Kris Jenner's longtime friend Ellen K opened up about to Us Weekly
about the happy couple.
"He genuinely smiles when he's around her and talks about her, and I think that she's just brought him amazing joy," she said of Kardashian and West. "They're like the real deal. I knew her with Reggie, and to see her with Kanye it's a whole different connection. It's just a more relaxed, natural, natural thing happening. It could just be where they are in their lives. I don't know, but it just seems to all work together."
"I saw her at a party last week, and the first thing that she did was whip out her baby photos and videos of North, so she's definitely all about her little girl," she added. "Where it might have used to be like, 'Where are you going after here? Where are you going to eat tonight?' It was just, you know, the things we all do, but now it's all about her little girl."
